Most language products are vague about time, and the ones that aren't tend to promise something absurd.
Here's what actually happens, with no compression.
The Early Part
You learn one song. Before long you catch the melody looping with a word or two surfacing alongside it. Then phrases start arriving on their own, in fragments, at odd moments.
That's fast, and it's the part that surprises people. It's also the easiest stage, because a small amount of material repeated heavily is precisely what the mechanism handles best.
A Few Songs In
A few songs in, the earliest one starts coming out without thought while the newer ones are still looping.
You will have a handful of phrases that genuinely arrive at speed. That sounds small. It is more automatic language than a year of recognition practice tends to leave anybody with, and you notice it the first time somebody asks you something.
Further Along
Here's where honesty matters. Coverage climbs quickly at first and then slows, because that's how frequency works.
Seven songs gets you about 15% of everyday conversation. Seventeen takes you to 50%. That's a large jump for ten songs and it's the steepest part of the curve.
How long those seventeen take is yours to find out, and it is set by how much repetition the songs get rather than by how hard you work. Automatic production needs repetition spread across time, and there is no way to compress that.
The Long Part
Getting from 85% to 95% takes fifty-three songs. More than the entire journey to 85%.
That's the diminishing return, stated plainly. Whether it's worth it depends on what you want. Plenty of people are content at 85%, which covers essentially every ordinary interaction, and stop there quite reasonably.
What We Won't Say
Nobody becomes fluent in thirty days. Nobody becomes fluent in ninety. Automatic speech is a physical skill built from repetition over months, and any product claiming otherwise is describing something other than speaking.
The honest version is less exciting and considerably more likely to be what actually happens to you.
