Anything that sounds different in language learning gets treated as a claim in need of proving. Reasonably so — the field attracts a lot of confident nonsense.
So it's worth going through the components one at a time, because none of them are new and none of them are ours.
Knowing and Doing Are Stored Separately
The distinction between memory for facts and memory for skills is textbook neuroscience. It's the same distinction that explains how somebody can lose the ability to recall events and still ride a bicycle.
Applied to language it's been formalised for over two decades — vocabulary and factual knowledge sitting in one system, automatic production running on another. Uncontroversial, taught at undergraduate level.
Production Practice Is Necessary
The argument that comprehension alone doesn't produce speakers has been in the literature since the mid-1980s, based on immersion programmes where students received thousands of hours of input and still spoke poorly.
The debate that followed was about how much weight to give output, not whether it mattered. Nobody now argues production practice is unnecessary.

Mainstream since the 1980s, and accepted by researchers who disagree about nearly everything else.
Multi-Word Phrases Are How Fluent Speech Works
The finding that native speakers rely heavily on pre-assembled sequences rather than generating every sentence from components is decades old and well replicated.
Music Aids Recall, and Music Is Rewarding
That sung material is recalled better than spoken material has been demonstrated experimentally. That music engages the brain's reward system has been demonstrated with imaging. Neither is contentious.
Frequency Is Extremely Lopsided
The observation that a small number of items account for most of what gets said holds across every language studied. It's among the most robust findings in linguistics.
So Where's the New Part?
Only in the assembly. Every component above is established, published and widely accepted. What's unusual is putting them together and building a hundred pieces of material that satisfy all of them at once.
That's an implementation, not a hypothesis. If you're the sort of person who wants to know a method isn't somebody's pet theory, this is the reassurance — there's no new claim in here to be wrong about.
